Formal Valuations for Probate
Art Valuation for Probate and Inheritance Tax Purposes

When a valuation for probate or inheritance tax is requested, our aim is to visit the client or property in question as quickly as possible and then deliver the final document to the executors with the utmost
priority. In cases where there are a number of beneficiaries, this can take the form of individual valuations for each beneficiary. Following the initial assessment, we can arrange for any small valuables to be stored securely on our premises and, if necessary, arrange a total house clearance, including the disposal of any unsaleable items.
Bonhams has a considerable amount of experience in dealing with the intricacies of estate administration, which is why our first task is always to appoint a highly experienced administrator to co-ordinate the sales programme.
For estates that take a while to complete, we supply the executors with a monthly report, which tracks the progress of items through the sale, and provides a detailed breakdown of the monies raised and the costs incurred.
For more information about our formal valuations for probate or inheritance tax purposes, please contact Bonhams Valuations.
