The Bonhams Costume and Textiles department specialises in auctioning a wide period of costume and vintage fashion from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries; in addition accessories such as fans, shawls, shoes, hats and handbags. From the later 20th century we auction couture, street fashion and handbags from designers including Chanel, Yves St Laurent, Christian Dior, Biba, Vivienne Westwood, Hermes, Gucci, Prada and Versace.
Needlework from the 17th century to Samplers from the 19th century are one of our specialities; along with Oriental costume, whitework, fabrics and quilts.
We are also renowned for quality and variety of our needle, bobbin lace and lace related items.

Selling Pointe: Century Old Ballet Costume Goes For £12,000 At Bonhams
Leon Bakst's costume designed for the ballet 'Le Dieu Bleu' sold for £12,000 on April 28th at Bonhams' Costume and Textiles auction in Knowle.
