  A rare gilt-brass astronomical compendium,  French,  dated 1608 The Bonhams Scientific Instruments department hold dedicated auctions twice a year at our Knightsbridge offices as well as within the Gentleman's Library sale.

We offer instruments and apparatus from the earliest known historical artefacts to items from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Our sales contain microscopes, telescopes, surveying and navigational instruments, globes, sundials, astrolabes, calculators, drawing instruments, barometers and barographs, medical and dental instruments.

Shooting Star: Groundbreaking Missile Guiding System Sold At Bonhams

The Early Technology Sale took place today at Bonhams Knightsbridge, with an extensive collection of pieces curated by Michael Bennett-Levy. The highlight of the sale was the 'Block III' aeroplane missile guiding television monitoring system, sold for an outstanding £36,000.
