Impressive 90% Sold Rate in the July Auction
The department had a highly successful sale on 14th July with an 90% sold rate by value. Prices were strong across all disciplines from Old Masters to Contemporary. Particularly strong areas were the Grosvenor School linocuts, modern British etchings, modern continental prints and Picasso editioned ceramics.
Top prices included:
- Claude Flight Speed £24,400
- Samuel Palmer Rising Moon, Herdsman’s Cottage, Early Ploughman £10,560
- CRW Nevinson From an office window £24,400
- Bridget Riley Untitled Based on Movement in Squares £18,600
- Kiyoshi Hasegawa Portrait Folio £19,800
- Pablo Picasso Vallauris ceramic dish £7,200
The next print sale will take place on 15th December.
