Irish Art Department
Irish Painting, Sculpture and Drawings Auctions |
|
| |
|
The
department holds two auctions each year of Important Irish Art in association
with James Adam's in Dublin. Bonhams are the only London auction house to
preview their auctions in both Dublin and London but sell them in Ireland.
The very best of Irish Art - painting, sculpture and works on paper - from the 18th century to the present day are included in these auctions. The market for Modern and Contemporary Irish Art is particularly strong and the department have secured some exceptional prices for Crozier, O'Neill, Le Brocquy and Yeats among others.

Inside his head
Le Brocquy's artistic achievement almost spans a century and rarely is an artist so relentlessly inventive and continuously celebrated throughout his career. He is one of a handful of Irish artists in collections such as the Guggenheim in New York and the Tate in London.
