http://www.bonhams.com/newyork
Further expanding the firm’s extensive depth of knowledge in the field of European Paintings, the New York galleries of international auctioneers Bonhams has named Taline Nicole Aynilian Senior Specialist with an emphasis in Orientalist Paintings and Sculpture.
States Deborah Coy, Director of European Paintings for Bonhams New York “With Taline joining the New York team and working closely with the London department as well, Bonhams is in an excellent position to sharpen our focus on the Orientalist market both in the United States and throughout Europe.”
Prior to joining Bonhams, Ms. Aynilian held the title of Assistant Vice President 19th Century European Paintings at Christies, New York. During her time with the auctioneers, she performed in a wide variety of roles, including research, appraisal, condition reports and client relations; her efforts resulted in many successful sales for the department.
Ms. Aynilian’s knowledge of the art business is backed by her extensive education. Having received her degree at Barnard College of Columbia University, she continued her studies in London, Paris, and Florence. She also assisted the Research and Library Director of the famed Museo degli Uffizi in Florence.
Well-suited to working with an international clientele, Taline is fluent in English, French and Armenian, and maintains a working knowledge of Farsi, Russian, Italian, and Spanish. Ms. Aynilian has also served as a popular charity auctioneer for several non-profit organizations.
“We’re very pleased to have Taline join our team,” says Jon King, Director of Bonhams New York. “Providing consignors and collectors with impeccable expertise in this area is simply another factor in our desire to offer the most comprehensive auction services globally.”

NOTES FOR EDITORS
Bonhams, founded in 1793, is one of the world's oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques. The present company was formed by the merger in November 2001 of Bonhams & Brooks and Phillips Son and Neale UK. In August 2002, the company acquired Butterfields, the principal firm of auctioneers on the West Coast of America and in August 2003, Goodmans, a leading Australian fine art and antiques auctioneer with salerooms in Sydney, joined the Bonhams Group of Companies. Today, Bonhams offers more sales than any of its rivals, through two major salerooms in London: New Bond Street, and Knightsbridge, and a further seven throughout the UK. Sales are also held in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Boston in the USA; and Switzerland, France, Monaco, Australia, Hong Kong and Dubai. Bonhams has a worldwide network of offices and regional representatives in 25 countries offering sales advice and valuation services in 57 specialist areas.
