Bonhams presents the largest ever Greenwich Concours d'Elegance Auction with more than 80 cars offered for sale and many offered at 'no reserve'. Automobiles spread in ages from an antique 1912 Hudson 'Mile-a-Minute' Speedsteronce owned in New York by H.Pierson Mapes - the father of the former president of NBC to a 1980 Aston Martin V8 'Oscar India' Vantage Specification Coupe ($100,000-125,000). In value terms they range from'entry level' classics like a 1969 Porsche 911 E Soft Window Targa Coupe at $40,000 -50,000 right up to the concours prize-winning and Mille Miglia eligible 1953 Siata 208S Barchetta. The auction is highlighted by a collection of the late Ted Leonard, whose passion was 'Cars of the Stars', including from the limelight as the Rolls-Royce Phantom I from the Robert Redford movie The Great Gatsby and Clark Gable's 1937 Packard Darrin. As is traditional for Bonhams auctions, the automobiles are supported by selected memorabilia associated with the hobby, hood ornaments, artwork,etc; quite literally something for everyone!
