The Islamic and Indian Art department holds two sales a year, covering a wide range of art and artefacts, dating from the 9th to the 19th Century. This includes Arabic and Persian manuscripts, pottery, metalwork and glass, ivory, jewellery and stonework, Ottoman Turkish
works of art (silver, textiles, arms and armour and Iznik pottery), and later Persian material. Within the sphere of Indian art, we feature in
particular miniature paintings of the 16th-19th Century, as well as
Bidri ware and other metalwork, ivory, textiles and jewellery.
