Footnotes

  • The present lot was one of the approximately twelve original Plate ceiling lights that were commissioned in 1958 from Poul Henningsen by architects Eva and Nils Koppel for use in the Langelinie Pavilion restaurant. Henningsen found inspiration for the design in the restaurants aquatic surroundings, with the concentric rings of the shade intended to reflect the movement of water.
