Third edition, a tall copy of the Latin translation by Rufinus Aquileiensis, the first book printed by the first printer of Lübeck Lucas Brandis. Although not dated, evidence of the type suggests that it precedes Brandis' first dated printed work (see BMC). The woodcut decoration is a remarkable feature of the Brandis edition. The work contains the accounts of the history of the Jewish people and the History of the Jewish War against the Romans. A Greek translation was not printed until 1544. BMC II, 550; BSB-Ink. I-616; Hain 9450. Goff J 483 [1475-76]; GW M15150.
