A pair of central European mid 19th century walnut side cabinets
possibly German, each with a rectangular top and stylised leaf carved edge, above a globe, sprig of foliage and book to the centre of the frieze, over a pair of panelled doors, the doors to one cabinet displaying the allegorical attributes of Government, Law and the Military, the other doors with the allegorical attributes of the Fine Arts and Applied Arts, one pair enclosing three adjustable shelves, the other enclosing two shelves, 113cm wide x 33.5cm deep x 119cm high, (44in wide x 13in deep x 46 1/2in high) (2)
