Copper-engraved map with contemporary hand-coloring, 1028 x 1325 mm, divided into 6 sheets (465 x 533 mm each) each sheet dissected into 9 parts and mounted onto linen with paste-paper covers. All housed in matching board and paste-paper slip case, covers and slip-case with engraved paper labels, some with additional manuscript labels. Slip case with some rubbing to extremities, some occasional light toning or offset to maps, overall very good.

LARGE EDITION OF CARY'S MAP, second edition. We find no sale records for this map at this size; it is usually found at about half this size. Fordham Catalogue of John Cary's Atlases, Maps, Plans & Itineraries p 103.
