1955 MV Agusta 175 CS 'Disco Volante'
Frame no. 405439
Engine no. 471195 S
This iconic 'Disco Volante' was first registered in Italy in 1955 (delivered through the MV Agusta concessionaire Mario Cibour in Cremona). Around 1980 the MV was sold to a German enthusiast and member of the German MV Agusta Club, who carried out a cosmetic restoration. The current owner, another Club member, acquired the machine from him in 1992 and undertook a mechanical overhaul. Valve guides and seats were replaced and a new camshaft installed, while the gearbox received a new second-gear pinion. All bearings and gaskets, O-rings and rubbers were renewed; the chain and drive sprockets replaced; the brakes relined; and the front and rear suspension units fully serviced. The Radaelli seat is original and un-restored. The vendor has ridden the machine at various MV Club meetings including Croix en Ternois, France and Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. His last outing on this bike was at Spa in 2003 for the first 'Bikers Classic' meeting. Since then, the MV has not been used, though it has been maintained in running condition. The bike has a current Belgian Carte Grise, which can be used in any country for re-registration. The bike is also registered with the MV Agusta Registro Storico (number '018') which is maintained by the MV Agusta Museum in Gallarate (Enrico Sironi) and Presso Ricamificio DAMA srl Gallarate.

    Cadre n° 405439
    Moteur n° 471195 S
