Lot Details
1972 Ducati 750GT
Frame no. 750622
Engine no. DM750-750849
Designed by the legendary Fabio Taglioni, Ducati's first road-going v-twin - the 750GT - arrived in 1971 and has since come to be regarded as one of the all-time great motorcycles of the post-war era. A 90-degree vee, the engine looked like two of the Bologna firm's bevel-drive overhead-cam singles on a common crankcase, which in essence it was. This 750GT has the early version's Lockheed front disc brake, Amal carburettors and Smiths instruments. Restored by the vendor's workshop ten years ago, the machine was last ridden only a few months ago and is described as in generally very good condition. Accompanying documentation consists of Italian Libretto di Circolazione (original), Certificato di Proprieta and ASI papers.

Footnotes

  • Ducati 750 GT 1972
    Cadre n° 750622
    Moteur n° DM750-750849
