A rare Charles II wriggle-work flat-lid pewter tankard, circa 1675
Having a straight-sided body decorated with two birds amongst foliage, the top of the lid decorated with a single stylized tulip and the front with pierced denticulations, bombe or palm-leaf thumbpiece and curved-handle with boot-heel terminal, touchmark inside base of John Felton I, Shrewsbury, (working 1670-1708), (PS3363, OP 1649A), ownership triad RVM to handle, 15.3cm high
