attributed to Gillows
The rectangular reeded backs with arrow and quiver open splats within caned frames, above caned seats on reeded tapering legs and spool feet. (8)

The Gent family at Moyns Park, Essex
The set of chairs are thought to have passed from a the Gent family to Victor Engleheart (b. 1868) who was godson to a Miss Gent.
The present owner is a direct descendant of John Cox Dillman Engleheart (1784-1862) miniaturist, nephew and pupil of George Engleheart (b. 1750) miniaturist to George III.
The set of chairs were inherited by the present owner from Violet Engleheart who in turn inherited them from her uncle, Victor Engleheart (b. 1868).
