The Most Distinguished Order of St.Michael and St.George, C.M.G., Companion's breast badge in silver-gilt and enamel, converted for wear to neck badge but complete with suspension; 1914-15 Star Col.L.H.Abbott, 8/Rajputs.); British War Medal (Brig. Genl. L.H.Abbott.); Victory Medal with MID Oakleaf (Lt.Col.L.H.Abbott.); India General Service 1908-35, one bar, Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919 (Col.L.H.Abbott, Staff Indian Army.); General Service Medal 1918-62, one bar, Iraq (Bt.Col.L.H.Abbott.); Delhi Durbar 1911; Jubilee 1935; Coronation 1937; France Legion of Honour, Officer's breast badge; France Croix de Guerre with Palme, dated 1914-1918. Mounted as worn except the C.M.G. and with corresponding miniature medals, and an 8th Rajputs badge. Good very fine to extremely fine. (Lot)

    Brigadier General Leonard Henry Abbott was born on 10th September 1875, he was the son of L.C.Abbott, he was educated at Dulwich College and the Royal Military College Sandhurst and the Staff College at Quetta. Second Lieutenant Norfolk Regiment 1896; Lieutenant 11th Rajputs, 1898; Captain 1905; Major, 1914, Lieutenant Colonel 1918, 8th Rajputs; Colonel 1920; Honorary Colonel 4/7th Rajput Regiment.

    Sold with assorted copied paperwork including copies of various certificates and warrants, booklets etc.
