The body of plain baluster form with sparrow beak spout, the turned baluster knopped wooden side handle with stylised leaf junction, the later cover lightly domed with plain loop handle, engraved with a full achievement of arms, length 30cm, weight total 31oz.

Footnotes

  • The body engraved for the shield and crest for YOUNG of Forfarshire, Scotland. The Royal Arms are for QUEEN ANNE from the 1707 Act of Union with Scotland which were used up to her death in 1714. The initials 'GR' to the cover represent one of the Hanoverian Monarchs who succeeded her. The Royal Arms changed with the accession of George I in 1714 and lasted until 1801 when they were revised.
