  • The firing of this rare model has been expertly controlled by the technicians at Moorcroft in Cobridge. A flambe firing during this period could be hit and miss as it meant that the kiln needed to be taken to a much higher temperature than the normal firing, often resulting in patchy areas, glaze drips or dark and light contrasts to the glaze, all of which this example has avoided.
