The flat rim with the three abundances, san duo, enamelled with a crest to the centre surrounded with a diaper pattern enclosing foliate cartouches. 31.8cm (12 1/2in) diam.

  • See David Howard, Chinese Armorial Porcelain, Faber & Faber, p230, where it is stated that this is the arms are Barker of Newbury impaling, or combined with, Baker of Wells. It is suggested that this service was made to commemorate the marriage of Sir Christopher Barker and the daughter of William Baker, Bishop of Bangor.
