The gilt mounted domed top with tied bud handle over glazed side panels, the door with sound fret (lacking mounts), moulded plinth on later block feet, the seven inch square dial with winged cherub spandrels, signed on the silvered roman and arabic chapter ring with sword hilt half hour marks and half quarter marks, the matted center with scroll engraved mock pendulum and date apertures, ringed winding holes, pierced steel hands, twin gut fusee movement with verge escapement and knife edge suspended pear bob pendulum, rack striking the hour on bell, pull quarter repeat on six bells, the back plate engraved with scrolls inhabited by birds and a savage hunter with club.
