1950 Harley-Davidson EL
Engine no. 50EL3431
If ever a motorcycle begged to be taken out on the American highway, it's a bright-red Panhead Harley with leather saddlebags and a big, comfy tractor-style saddle. The EL designation indicates the 61-cubic-inch (1000cc) iteration of the Panhead motor, in its last two years of production before the 74-inch version would be the only displacement offered. The paint appears to be a respray and it's not known if the 4500 miles showing on the odometer are accurate, but the Pierce collection's 1950 Panhead is complete and appears to ready for many more miles on the road.
- Please note that this motorcycle is titled under its engine number and its title is in transit.
