Kutch, late 19th Century
of globular form with a long slender neck, the hinged lid with finial in the form of an acorn with a set of leaves terminating in a tapering pouring spout, the curved handle in the form of a salamander, the body profusely chased and embossed with roundels comprising a lion, an antelope, a wild boar and a dog amidst scrolling foliage alternating with roundels comprising floral patterns, against a dense background of floral and foliate scrolls, within bands of acanthus leaves, similar scrolling decoration to neck and lid
