This is an exceptional pair of cabochons was cut from the same rough. They represent the top end of boulder opals which can be found in Queensland given their exceptional display of red hues. They would ideally lend themselves to being mounted as a pendant. Both triangular-shaped cabochons having predominantly red play-of-color graduating into orange, yellow, green and blue. The first, weighing approximately 17.42 carats and measuring 32.10 x 18.13 x 5.30 mm.. The second larger one, weighing approximately 25.13 carats and measuring 35.00 x 21.03 x 5.40 mm (2)
