Painted with a landscape view titled 'Bridge of Augustus at Narni, Italy', in black on an orange ground, the basket with a pierced border of interlocking ovals edged with a band also in orange and black, on a pedestal base, 26.8cm diam, crown, crossed batons and D mark and title in blue

  • Provenance: Mary Field Collection. A label identifies this as a service made for the Duke of Norfolk. A quatrelobed dish from this service painted with a scene entitled 'Near Matlock, Derbyshire', is in the Victoria and Albert museum, museum number: C.224-1986.
