Unique and Classic Black Opal

This unique and unusual cabochon of true black opal has been fashioned by the gem cutter as in a lozenge-shaped outline--a rather unusual and elegant shape. The elongated shape lends itself either to forming a centerpiece of a stunning dinner ring or a pendant. The body color is a true black, with vibrant and vivid play-of-color in blues and greens, characteristic for the region, with classic potch on the reverse, weighing approximately 26.88 carats and measuring 30.5 x 18.0 x 8.0mm.
