A mid-17th century lead bronze skillet, English, probably by Thomas Palmar (fl. 1641 - 76) of the Palmar foundry in Canterbury, Kent
Of slightly tapering cylindrical form, the tapering handle cast with the letters 'THO PALMAR', the two words spaced by a small lozenge, an angular bracket beneath the handle, on three slightly moulded outswept supports, 11cm diameter x 23.5cm long (to tip of handle) x 13cm high
