Having a 7" silvered dial with Roman hours and moon hands, strike silent dial in apex, engraved foliate cartouche with ' Jno. B. Cross. London' within; the twin fusee chain driven movement with anchor escapement rack striking on a circular-section coiled steel gong the full hour on the hour and a passing strike on the half hour, with trip repeat (not connected), the shaped backplate engraved Jno. B. Cross. London; the case with arched pediment above two brass inlaid spire finials, the door with shaped arched top between cluster columns, raised on a stepped plinth supported on squat ball feet. With door key and winder. 49cm (19 inches) high
