Having a 13-inch round painted dial with Roman hours framing a hand painted floral centre with date aperture and indistinctly signed by a Rettendon maker; the movement with outside countwheel rack-striking on a bell, the hood having a broken swan-neck pediment and plain turned columns with brass capitals, the shaped top crossbanded trunk door between conforming columns, on a plain base with squat bracket feet; with one weight and no pendulum, 199cm (78") high
