A late 17th century oak coffer
Having a quadruple panelled hinged lid above a profusely carved quadruple panelled front, each panel carved with a single stylized carnation, the rails all carved with meandering flora, 147cm wide x 59cm deep x 63cm high, (57.5" wide x 23" deep x 24.5" high)

  • The carving to the front rails is unusually conceived as one design, with the motifs linked, rather than conceived as separate design components.
