Of rectangular form and bound in riveted strapwork, the front with false pierced escutcheon and wrythen bale carry handles to either end, the underside of the lid with an elaborate steel lock shooting seven bolts, lacking its decorative covering plate, 72cm wide x 40cm deep x 38.5cm high, (28" wide x 15.5" deep x 15" high)
