Of high stature, having a distinctive large arched floral and oak leaf-carved cresting over a conforming carved back panel, the uprights with characteristic pyramid finials, the panelled seat raised on block and ball legs joined by a ball and ring-turned front mid-stretcher, 120 cm high x 46cm wide x 46cm deep; together with a late 17th century style Yorkshire/Derbyshire backstool, having a pair of typical arched and cusp-outlined splats, each scroll-carved, between scroll finial-surmounted and split-bobbin applied uprights, the panelled seat raised on block and ball-turned legs joined by a ball-turned front stretcher, 103cm high x 43.5cm wide x 36.5 cm deep,(2)
