A rare mid-18th century inlaid oak dresser base
Cheshire
Having three rows of three graduated moulded drawers, each with chevron inlaid edge and fan spandrels, the two top rows inlaid with stylized plants, sprig-type forms and birds, the bottom three drawers inlaid with a hunting scene, with a stag pursued by hounds, a man on horseback and another on foot, also with bird and floral decoration, panelled back and sides, on ogee-bracket feet 181.5cm wide x 53cm deep x 92cm high, (71" wide x 20.5" deep x 36" high)
