A Meissen Hausmaler plate, mid 18th century
Decorated in the workshop of F.F. Mayer of Pressnitz, the well with an elaborate scene depicting a boar hunt, within a quatrelobe gilt scrollwork cartouche edged in brown, the wavy rim with four flower sprigs and a gilt scrollwork border, 25.3cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed 16 (flaking to edge of rim and minor wear)
