A Meissen Hausmaler rectangular tea canister, mid 18th century
Decorated in the workshop of F.F. Mayer of Pressnitz, with a continuous scene depicting hussar officers on horseback and a fallen foe, the shoulders with gilt trellis panels flanked by scrollwork, 10.5cm high, crossed swords mark and dash in blue (cover lacking)

Just, Neue Forschungen über die Pressnitzer Porzellan-Hausmalerei, in Mitteilungsblatt der Keramikfreunde der Schweiz 46 (1959), pl, XI, ill. 27).
