A rare Bayreuth stoneware coffee cup and saucer, circa 1728-44
The cane-coloured body decorated in silver with a chinoiserie figure leading a leopard by a tree, the saucer with a second figure, each scene on a bracket, the rims with borders of foliate scrollwork and trellis panels, the handle with a silver stripe, (silver tarnished and worn, rim chips to cup) (2)
