The attribution to Robert Delaunay has been confirmed by Jean-Louis Delaunay and Richard Riss.

Focusing on the manipulation of shape, light and perspective, Robert Delaunay's fascination with radiating circular forms of color in his exploration of Orphism translates well to sculpture, as seen in Relief bronze. The tactility of bronze lends a clear reading of shadow and depth that Delaunay's paintings strive to express through the exploration of color and contract. Here, contrast is shadow and sheen, noting the multi-layered vision Delaunay has for his exploration of painting.
