Original cloth, gilt. Full page inscription from Charmian to Ralph Conning dated April 16th 1917. Photograph of Charmian and Jack in the British Solomon Islands in 1908, both sitting on a boat with peggy their dog, with notations in Charmian's hand tipped-in to front paste-down, and a TLS from Charmian to Conning, dated November 20th 1935, on family matters, loosely laid-in.
WITH: The Book of Jack London. New York: The Century Co., 1921. 2 volumes, both inscribed to Jack London's literary manager Harvey Taylor and further gifted by Taylor to Leonard Allis in January 1932, dust-jackets, chipped at edges; And 5 other works by Charmian London, together with a vintage 9 x 7 inch glamorous photograph of Charmian, signed on verso 'Mrs Jack London', and presumably sent by Charmian to friends after her marriage to Jack in November 1905. Together, 9 items.

Charmian held the torch for her late husband all her life, and was responsible for the special copies of his books with fragments of cheques and family photographs.
