SIGNED PORTRAIT OF A STUDIOUS LINCOLN BY GARDNER. "Lincoln's secretary, John Hay, wrote in his diary of this sitting: 'I went down with the President to have his picture taken at Gardner's. He was in very good spirits'" (Hamilton & Ostendorf 0-72).
