HORNBY'S COPY IN A FINE BINDING BY DOUGLAS COCKEREL. "The Douce Apocalypse which James edited for C.H. St John Hornby in 1922 was his most substantial work for the Club. Though printed at Oxford and not at the Ashendene Press, it is clear that Hornby watched over the typography with his skilled printer's eye" (Barker Publications of the Roxburghe Club 1814-1962). Tipped in is an Autograph Letter Signed from James, who wrote the introduction, to Hornby, pertaining to this volume.
