By 1819 their activities were listed as 'Ornamental Painter and Paper Hanging Manufacturer' and by 1825 they had added carver, gilder and picture framer and began trading as George Morant and Son. They gained a royal warrant supplying picture frames to Windsor Castle for King George IV and later Queen Victoria. Other commissions for various country houses followed including Mamhead in the 1830s and Great Tew Park in the 1840s. They exhibited at The Great Exhibition in 1851. By 1852, the company was known as Morant & Boyd and were located at 91 New Bond Street. The firm continued producing items into the 20th century known as Lenygon & Morant.
