Gordon & MacPhail Generations-Mortlach 70 year old (Distilled 1938)
Bottle number 38 of 54. Cask number 2656. In wooden presentation case. Gordon & Macphail has long established relationships with distillery owners throughout the United Kingdom. Oak casks are sent to the majority of Scotland's working distilleries to be filled with 'new-make' spirit, which then mature for many years at the distillery of origin or in bonded warehouses in Elgin. The oak casks are carefully stowed and regularly checked until they finally achieve our highest quality standards. It's a patient business, some casks reach over 70 years of age and some have outlived the distillery that produced them.
Mortlach 70 Years Old is a single malt that epitomizes Gordon & MacPhail's approach to single malt, built upon generations of expertise in the industry.
