Qing dynasty, 18th century Seated at ease in lalitasana above a lotus pedestal, the youthful sage guru holding a vajra in his right hand and a skull cap containing the nectar of life, his wrathful yet smiling expression surmounted by a lotus crown and flanked by pendulous earlobes suspending earrings, wearing monastic robe fastened at the waist. 7cm high.
Padmasambhava was a monk who lived in the eighth century and travelled to Tibet, where he converted local deities and spirits to Buddhism.
