Ming dynasty
The multi-tiered pedestal worked with friezes of mythical beasts, lotus petals and Buddhist ornaments issuing wispy swirling smoke at the front; affixed with a leaf-shaped mandorla featuring two mythical beast standing atop elephants spewing forth water from their mouths, another two surmounting aobve with the head of an elepahant, body of tiger and tail of a peacock, the uppermost with a winged creature, all decorated with inlaid turquoise and engulfed by flames at the border. 24cm high.
