A Haban (Northern Hungary/Slovakia) faience jug, dated 1730
The ovoid body with a short neck and strap handle, painted with a cobbler's tools and a boot and inscribed 'IAN: ZAK:' within a green cartouche flanked by flowers and further flower panels, all between floral and formal borders, the handle with blue scrollwork, the shoulder inscribed: '17: Silny Srunek Kuziwany Wek Krati a Rozum Mienj 30.', 22.5cm high (pierced on one side, chips and typical glaze losses to rims)
