A Meissen tankard, circa 1725
Painted with a Chinoiserie scene in underglaze blue, depicting figures in an oriental landscape, the rim and the lower part of the tankard with a blue and white band showing floral motives and four quatrefoil landscape cartouches, the handle decorated with flowering branches, finishing in a stylised leaf, unmounted, 16cm high (cracked, chip to handle)
