A fine garniture of three Derby vases, circa 1825
Of shield shape with neoclassical handles picked out in gold, unusually painted on one side with panels of waterfowl, including a mallard duck on the larger central vase, probably by John Hancock Junior, the reverse with panels of simply-dressed country folk, reserved on richly gilded blue grounds, 22.6 and 29cn high, crown, crossed batons and D marks and number 36 in red (minute chips to plinths, slight wear to gilding on extremities) (3)
