A Staffordshire slipware dish by William Talor, circa 1680-85, Depicting Charles II in the Royal Oak, the head of the king within the leafy branches, flanked by a lion and unicorn, the trellis border including the name of the potter WILLIAM TALOR (A crack runs from the rim at 1 o'clock extending just into the well, another crack at 7 o'clock runs sideways to beneath the tree, some rim chips)
