Two snuff bottles
First an inscribed duan stone snuff bottle, of flattened spade form supporting a cylindrical neck subtly tapering toward the concave mouth, most of the stone of brown-purple color except for one side covered in a thin layer of slightly olive hue incised with a mountain landscape, the reverse inscribed with the wuzi date and a partial poetic couplet (wear to carving); the second of red overlay glass vividly presented as a leaping carp with its tail swinging to one side, its fins finely rendered with incised lines, the bred color predominating except for clear glass visible on the neck and top of the carp (tail polished, neck possibly re-cut).
