Typed Document Signed ("Langston Hughes"), 1 p, 4to, July 19, 1961, countersigned by MGM Records executive Arnold Maxin, dated ink stamp, secretarial note penciled to upper margin, being an agreement to terminate an earlier agreement made between Hughes and MGM.

In 1958, MGM released the LP The Weary Blues with Langston Hughes, which featured Hughes reading his poetry to music performed by Charles Mingus, Sam Taylor, Vic Dickenson, Red Allen and others.
